How does Hypnotherapy for weight loss work?

The therapy starts by first uncovering the reasons for your eating habits. We do this because if we did not work on the causes of your habits then your current reasons for eating will keep on happening and you will not get to the weight that you want to. Imagine having a cut that has glass in it, if you put a plaster over it, no matter how many times you put a clean plaster on it the cut it will not heal because of the glass and will keep being sore. The same is with our eating patterns, it is only by working on the cause do you get to change patterns permanently.

When we work on the causes, we can then move to working on those behaviours that we know are not healthy for us, for example eating biscuits with a cup of tea and finally we work on changing the actual food that we are eating.

What if I don’t know the causes to my eating habits, will Hypnosis for weight loss still work for me?

Hypnotherapy is 100% safe, risk free. Hypnotherapy feels like the moment before you are going to sleep, you feel totally relaxed, really comfortable and you could move if you wanted to, you just don’t want to because it feels nice.

Am I in control when under Hypnosis?

You are in total control. You are not asleep, nor are you unconscious so you are in full control of your actions. Hypnosis is just a very relaxed state of mind and body. No one can tell you to do something that you do not want to do, nor will you take on any suggestions that do not agree with you. This is why only positive suggestions are made.

How quickly will I lose weight?

This all depends on your circumstances. From the first session we discuss your situation and causes for eating and for a lot of people their views about food change there and then. I also give you exercises to do in between sessions. I do notice that those who are determined to lose weight and do what I ask them to do start losing weight from the first session.

How many Hypnotherapy for weight loss sessions will I need?

Again this depends on your circumstance and situation, though I notice people making changes from the first session. After about 6 sessions, many people feel they have made some big changes. It takes at least more than one session because Hypnotherapy for weight loss addresses the psychological reasons into your eating habits. In fact it is a big reason why for many diets do not always work. Diets only address the end result of our eating and never the reasons why.

How will Hypnosis for weight loss benefit me?

Many people report positive changes from the beginning. They start having a positive relationship with food. They start building a more positive relationship with themselves and they start to feel a lot more confident, happier and lighter within themselves.
